"Planet of the apes"

Yesterday Parliament passed a Bill which allows for human sperm to be implanted into animals.

I spoke out against it, obviously.

If any one of my constituents ever asks me why Parliament passed a Bill that allowed something so revolting to occur, I want to be able to demonstrate that I did my bit.

There's nothing of amazing importance happening in Parliament today, we are on a one line whip. However, apparently, we have no time to discuss the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill in any detail.

Parliamentary process is a sham.

According to the PA Newswire, this was one of their 'Quotes Of The Day!'

"Of all the experimental possibilities debated in the course of this Bill, surely none is quite so utterly repulsive as the possibility of seeking to inseminate animals with human sperm." - Conservative MP  Nadine Dorries  on the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill.
